The Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra (Anahata) is the fourth energy centre, that rests between the foundations of the Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus and the expansive higher chakras. In Qigong, it is linked with the Middle Dantien – the seat of the soul. This intuitive centre, sensed in the chest near the physical heart, bridges our earthly experience with spiritual truth.

The Heart Chakra governs love, compassion, forgiveness and emotional balance. When nurtured, it becomes a place of return – a sanctuary for giving and receiving love in harmony.

In Qigong terms the Middle Dantien is said to be the seat of the Soul. The more we can feel safe in our body, and in our heart energy, the more our soul can land embodied in truth and resonance, guiding us with spiritual integrity.

Traditionally, this centre is resonates with the colours green and pink, while in Qigong it is associated with the Fire element and the colour red. Together, these reveal its intimate link with the Root Chakra: when we are deeply rooted, our hearts feel safe to open and express multidimensionally.
