Handcrafted in the UK by Clara, each Apollo Star is made from new and sometimes recycled fabrics in a range of colours and sizes, filled with organic wheat and scented with lavender, or clove and cinnamon. You can request alternative fillings if wheat isn’t right for you.

The very first Apollo Stars were born at the turn of the millennium as unique birthday gifts for friends, using remnant fabrics from Clara’s costume design career. Over time, they evolved into heatable stars – bringing both comfort, joy and playful charm.

In her New Forest arts and crafts classroom, children quickly fell in love with the smaller Apollo Stars and what began as a creative experiment blossomed into a business – offering stars in many sizes, colours, and scents. From tiny handheld companions, to larger neck, shoulder and back supports, Apollo Stars soon found their way into homes as healing tools, soothing comforts, and storytelling friends. Even larger ones were made as sofa cushions (not wheat filled!) and floor sized bean bags.

As their popularity grew, so too did their story. Legend has it that Apollo Stars are inspired by the Pleiades, the Seven Sisters star cluster, whose crystalline gem-light journeyed them to Earth, each of the seven landing at the planet’s sacred chakra points. For instance, the Red Root chakra Apollo Star is said to have landed at Mount Shasta, where it grew into a massive world tree, producing magical leaves and star fruit that continue to reassure people they are safe, supported and part of an evolving tribe of Earth protectors.
